Education Host is a specialist education hosting and software company. As Managing Director, I set its strategic direction and oversee product development, infrastructure, operations, customers and growth — working with developers and specialist partners to deliver reliable services at scale.

Overall responsibility for the company's hosting estate, including its own OpenStack cloud infrastructure, run with specialist consultancy support.

Accountability for the services institutions depend on daily: monitoring, support, maintenance and the operational standards behind them.
Customers & partnerships
Owning relationships with universities, colleges, schools and partners — from first conversation through delivery and renewal.
Commercial & financial oversight
Responsibility for pricing, contracts, budgets and the financial health of the company.

I hold overall responsibility for that estate and for the operational standards behind every service the company runs — monitoring, support, maintenance and security.
We keep the architecture detail private, as you'd expect. What matters publicly is the accountability: when an institution depends on an Education Host service, the responsibility for keeping it dependable is mine.

Leadership with a technical spine
I came to company leadership through the technical route: a first-class Computing degree, enterprise BI and reporting delivery, housing-sector data consultancy and years of hands-on infrastructure work. I don't write the company's code day to day — we have developers and specialist partners for that — but I can read it, question it and make informed calls about it.
That background is why technical decisions at Education Host get made quickly and honestly: the person accountable for them understands what they cost.
